Announcing the $100 Costco Meat Challenge
Starting up a new series that shares how much meat I can get at Costco for $100 and how I use that meat to feed my family of 6.
Last week, I finally went back into a Costco store for the first time in a year. Super glad to have the membership back and a store to go to. I took a picture of the outside of the store. It’s nice one.
My trip there inspired me to start a new challenge that I’ll be posting about here: the $100 Costco Meat Challenge! On each trip to Costco, I’ll plan to spend $100 on meat and then show you how I use it — and how far I can stretch that amount.
For this first round, I made a rule: I had to pick at least one of each of the following:
1 type of seafood
1 type of pork
1 type of beef
1 type of chicken
1 type of sausage
I’ll be sharing what I got in my next email tomorrow, so stay tuned!
In the recent survey I’ve been conducting, one of the most requested topics was the best value meat deals at Costco — so I’m hoping this series hits the mark. Learning how to butcher and portion different cuts of meat, as well as how to cook with them, were also popular requests.
If you haven’t taken the survey yet, here’s the link. Just know that I truly value your feedback and appreciate every response.
Before I go, let me show you the sausage I picked up on this Costco run. Have you ever tried this one before?
I am thinking this might be great on the grill for 4th of July! I have their beef sticks a couple times and some other flavors of sausage, so I excited to give this one a try.

Love the idea of good buys on meat, but for the record, some of us do not eat pork, so that one is out.
